A Message from the Director of the Music Academy
Dear friends,
St. Luke's Episcopal Church is truly fortunate to house a captivating and all-encompassing music program. The Music Academy at St. Luke's was founded in 2022 to offer excellence in music education.
Private lessons are available for string, wind, guitar, brass, voice, piano, organ, and harpsichord.

Benefits of Joining the
MUSIC ACADEMY AT ST. LUKE'S
Learning to play an instrument offers many long term benefits. It can help with concentration, build confidence, relieve stress, assist with developing life skills., and above all, develop a lifelong love of music.
All Levels Welcome
Students ages seven and up are encouraged to chose an instrument to study. We have a wonderful faculty to assist at every stage of development. Beginners are welcome.
Lesson Costs
You can chose a 30, 45, or 60 minute lesson. Most beginners start with a 30 min lesson.
30 min - $30
45 min- $45
60 min- $60
Paid monthly.
Supportive Culture
Students can be assured of a safe, welcoming and caring environment. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons.
Teachers offer positive reinforcement in the lessons.
Faculty
Lisa Lewis has served as Organist and Choirmaster at St. Lukes since 1985. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Music where she studied organ with renowned conductor and organist, Melvin Dickinson.
Ms, Lewis has taught piano for over 30 years, with the occasional organ and harpsichord student over that time period.
She also studied organ with related travel in France and Germany in the 1980s and chorally with tours to Notre Dame in Paris, St. Paul's Cathedral in London, and St. George's Chapel, Windsor under the direction of Dr. Bruce Neswick.
Lisa serves as the Artistic Director of St. Luke's Concert Series which features leading singers, instrumentalists, and organists from around the country.
