Lay Pastoral Care

The St. Luke's Lay Pastoral Care Ministry is a group of devoted and trained lay persons who assist the rector in providing pastoral care to our parish family. Our ministry encompasses pastoral care, the Lay Eucharist Ministry, the Parish Care Committee, the Health Ministry and the Hospital Visitation Ministry.

We visit and call on those who are ill at home, in the hospital and at nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities. Communion is delivered by trained Eucharist ministers under the direction of the clergy.

Meals can be arranged for those who are ill or in need of a home-cooked meal through the Parish Care Committee. Our Health Ministry sponsors health-related events, and our Hospital Visitation Ministry provides pastoral care to parishioners desiring visits from trained ministers during their hospital stay.
