2019 Great Vigil music
by St. Luke's Reflections Band
1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage, KY 40223
Music is integral to our spiritual lives and plays a vital role in the liturgy at St. Luke’s. We have a diverse program, rich in talent and tradition, with opportunities for participation by all ages, ranging from children’s choirs, a traditional Chancel Choir and the contemporary praise band “Reflections”. In May 2013 we dedicated the new organ built by Martin Pasi and Associates, Roy, Washington to the glory of God.
High School - Adult
The Chancel Choir sings at the 10:00 Eucharist each Sunday and for other services and special programs throughout the year. The choir is especially appreciated for their annual prelude to the Christmas Eve service at 10:30 p.m. The choir’s dedication of time and talent leads and enhances the worship with its traditional Anglican repertoire.
Rehearsal: Wednesday evenings 7:15 – 8:45 p.m. during the school year
The contemporary service on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. offers an attractive alternative to traditional music and worship. “Reflections”, under the direction of Jon Jacoby, plays a variety of Christian contemporary music, showcasing the talents of our volunteer musicians and singers. Reflections is also featured at Mass in the Grass and Christmas Lessons and Carols .
