Lay Pastoral Care Committee
The St. Luke's Lay Pastoral Care Ministry is a group of devoted and trained lay persons who assist the rector in providing pastoral care to the 300 plus persons of our parish family. Our ministry encompasses Pastoral Care, the Lay Eucharist Ministry, the Parish Care Committee, the Health Ministry, and the Hospital Visitation Ministry.
We visit and call on those who are ill, in the hospital and at nursing homes & rehabilitation facilities as well as at home. Communion is delivered, under the direction of the Clergy to those who are ill or shut in, by trained Eucharist ministers. Meals can be arranged for those who are ill or in need of a home cooked meal through the Parish Care Committee. Our Health Ministry sponsors health related events. Our Hospital Visitation Ministry provides pastoral care to those parishioners desiring visits from trained ministers during their hospital stay.
