Children Praying

Children in Church

Children of all ages are welcome in church during services at St. Luke’s. With the addition of our new space, we will be able to offer special programs and services for children. Watch for updates on our weekly emails and Facebook page.

Infants and children under 3 years old are welcome to stay in our new nursery during our 10:00am service on Sunday morning. The nursery will be attended by at least 2 trained adults. The nursery is available to parishioners and visitors. Contact the church office for more information.

During the 10:00am service, children are invited to leave the main church after the Gospel to participate in a liturgy designed just for them! After the sermon, the children will return for Holy Communion.

At 9:00am (while adults are in class) preschool age children are invited to participate in an interactive lesson of Godly Play, in a new classroom, in Board Hall. Godly Play involves hands on learning using a curriculum that follows the liturgical lesson calendar for the Episcopal Church.

St. Luke’s has a new classroom in the lower level of Board Hall devoted to the Christian education of school age children. Lessons will be taught by lay volunteers using a standard curriculum. Class will meet prior to the 10:00am service.

Youth in grades 6-12 have a new room just for them in the lower level of Board Hall.  During the hour prior to 10:00am worship, youth can gather to learn and share. Youth are also able to prepare for confirmation, volunteer to help with community programs, interact with youth from our neighbor churches, and plan fun fellowship activities. The youth of St. Luke’s also have opportunities to participate in mission trips and projects. Many of our youth at St. Luke’s participate in our worship by serving as acolytes.

Prayer Group

Adult Formation

St. Luke’s offers many opportunities for adults to learn and grow in our walk with Jesus.

Young adults are important to us at St. Luke’s!  We welcome visitors and guests to attend and participate in all services, classes and events.  Please come as you are and let us know how we can get you involved.

At 9:00am on Sunday mornings, we meet in Board Hall for a class, led by Clergy or one of our guest speakers, to learn about and discuss subjects regarding our church and faith. Breakfast is often available during this class courtesy of our parishioner chefs. These classes are available on Zoom for those unable to attend in person. Watch for weekly email updates and Facebook posts regarding these classes.

Our Wednesday morning Bible Study meets in Board Hall for fellowship and an active discussion of God’s word. We are currently using The Path, a Bible Study of the New Testament, and other sources as a guide. This study is available to St. Luke’s members and visitors.  No registration is required. Just bring your Bible.

St. Luke’s offers an annual class for adults and youth who are interested in preparing for the sacraments of baptism or confirmation.
