Pastoral Care at St. Luke's

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather your lambs in your arms and carry them to your heart.  We commend to you all who in this transitory life, are in trouble, sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity.  And, we pray, let all who minister to them be faithful representitives of your Church and Kingdom.  For your sake we pray. Amen.

The Rev. Robert Thompson is the associate for Pastoral Care. Assisted by Mrs. Donnajean Richardson.
They along with a well trained and capable committee of lay volunteers aid the clergy
in addressing a wide variety of need to over 600 parishioners, their family and friends.

Some other groups that work with our Pastoral Care Programs are:

Lay Eucharistic Ministry-Our Lay Eucharistic Ministers regularly take communion to shut-ins, the sick and infirm who are unable to attend regular services.

Parish Care-When a family is experiencing some kind of need and could use some food, this group responds by being there for those in need with a casserole or some other tasty dish.

Prayer Guild-This is a parish wide prayer chain that is called when there is a need for some serious prayers. It is made up of volunteers who appreciate the power of prayer.
