The Motto of the Order

For His Sake…I am but one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
What I can do, I ought to do.
What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will do.
Lord, what will you have me do?
The Daughters of the King is an Order for women of the Episcopal Church
and churches with the historic Episcopate. The National Order was organized in 1885.
Every Daughter makes a life-long vow of prayer, service, and personal evangelism,
dedicated to the extension of God's Kingdom and to the strengthening of the
spiritual life of her parish.

The Magnificat Chapter was Chartered in June 2003.
Members of the Magnificat Chapter are involved in the life of our parish in many
areas, including serving as vestry members, lay readers, Altar Guild members,
Chalice bearers, ushers, singing in the choir, the funeral ministry, by providing quiet
activity bags for young children attending the services, placing prayer request cards
in the pews and praying for those who have need of special intercessory prayers,
through the Card ministry (sending cards to those who are on the Prayers of the People),
leading the Prayers of the People, and through the Guild of the Christ Child.
The Daughters recently hosted a five part Lenten Lecture Series on C. S. Lewis for
the parish and provided a light soup supper before each program.
Outreach ministries have included donations to Prodigal House Ministries and Aunt Mary's
Storybook Project, monetary support of the Refugee Ministry, and service at
Wayside Mission. The Chapter supports the Funds and programs of the National Order
and is active in the Kentucky Diocesan Assembly Daughters of the King.

We meet the First Tuesday of each month
at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Hall.

For more information, please call the parish office.
